International Conference Speaker: Breaking Bias
Invited to speak on the "Breaking Bias" panel at the Humane Society of the United States' International Conference — the world's leading gathering of shelter executives, CEOs, and animal welfare advocates. The panel focused on identifying and eliminating systemic bias in the pet adoption industry, improving outcomes for animals that statistically face lower adoption rates.
Prior to founding tech companies, Blake spent several years working in the animal shelter space — applying a data-driven, systems-thinking lens to one of the most human problems: connecting animals with loving homes. A reminder that technical mastery and human empathy aren't opposites — they're multipliers.
